  • <p><strong>CEDE in a nutshell</strong><br><br>CEDE is the longest running dental exhibition in Poland. For over a quarter of a century it has been a meeting place for thousands of practitioners with the world of business. We bring together doctors with technologies that help to treat more effectively and safely. The exhibition features creators and sellers of all products that support the treatment process and improve dental practice.<br><br>The first edition of the Central European Dental Exhibition CEDE was held in 1991! CEDE has so far attracted 8 673 exhibitors and 292 872 visitors. 54 614 professionals attended the scientific part accompanying the subsequent editions of the exhibition.<br><br>In 2016, CEDE gave way to the World Dental Congress, which we organised for the World Dental Organisation FDI together with the Polish Dental Association. It was attended by representatives from 152 countries.</p>

  • <p><br></p><p>In 2019, the Polish Dentistry Union Congress confirmed the status of one of the largest educational events in the dental industry. 1 049 people took part in 81 lectures, 2 discussion panels, 22 workshops and 4 seminars. As expected, the most numerous group of the third edition of the project were general practitioners without specialisation. In terms of numbers, followed by general specialists, preventive dentists, prosthodontists and periodontists. Nearly 300 people took part in the National Congress of Hygienists and Dental Assistants, almost 100 in the debate "Hygienist - the best investment of a dentist?". - Our predictions regarding interest in guidelines in the field of emergency in dentistry have been confirmed. This is certainly one of the most valuable projects of the 3rd PDU Congress. I am glad that Polish dentists appreciated the visit of dr Gerhard Seeberger, the president of FDI and an excellent expert in the field of endodontics. We are already thinking how to create an interesting programme of the 4th PDU Congress - comments prof. Marzena Dominiak, president of the Polish Dental Association, chairwoman of the PDUC Scientific Council. During this year's edition of the "Scientific Vertigo - News in Science" session, the most interesting student works of recent years were presented. The first place was taken by Aleksandra Syrico (PMU in Szczecin) presenting the work "Analysis of the impact of UAV and Mallampati scale on the risk of OBS". The distinction was awarded to Adam Wawrzynkiewicz (Medical University of Lodz) presenting "Assessment of changes in jaw molar inclination and palate dimensions with age".</p>

  • <p></p><p></p><p>CEDE (Central European Dental Exhibition) has the longest tradition of any such exposition in Poland, having been held uninterruptedly since 1991.  Only once, in 2016, did it yield centre stage to the World Dental Exhibition FDI, a companion event of the FDI Congress (World Dental Federation). Today, the Polish edition of the Congress is seen as a template for those organising similar events.  </p><p>CEDE 2019 is a continuation of the “More than an Exhibition” project, which highlights the unbreakable bond between science and business.  Over the years the event has been steadily expanded to include more and more features that are having a real impact on the development of Polish dentistry and at the same time are helping create a more integrated environment.</p><p>The Congress of the Union of Polish Dentistry, which has been held in tandem with CEDE since 2017, differs from education events organized at industry exhibitions. The Congress champions the idea of ​​scientific integration, and its programme is the result of collaboration between the country’s most important scientific and professional societies and associations as well as independent, respected and popular specialists. Participants can thus be assured that the knowledge they obtain in Poznan is always of the highest standard. This three-day event packed with lectures and workshops (including some sessions that are completely free) enables participants to stay up to date with all the latest trends in dentistry.</p><p>The Congress is a truly immense project dedicated to identifying what is best in Polish dentistry. It is founded on a spirit of integration between science and business and on a community of shared goals. At the same time, however, it also respects the autonomy of its co-organizers, i.e. the largest professional associations and scientific organizations in the country. It provides participants with an opportunity to acquire world-class knowledge from morning till night and – which is also important – in a modern and accessible way. But it is not only specialists with extensive experience who can benefit from CEDE. CEDE is an occasion when dentists can discuss the kinds of problems that arise in thousands of ordinary dental offices up and down the country. The questions featured in the titles of many of the panels are the result of a dialogue with doctors, hygienists and assistants and listening to their needs.
