L´Associazione Italiana Odontoiatri (AIO) è fondata a Roma nel 1984 dai neonati laureati in Odontoiatria Italiani. Il corso di laurea in Odontoiatria è stato istituito nel 1980 e gli studenti di Odontoiatria di allora sentirono l´esigenza di fondare una associazione a livello nazionale che li rappresentasse – AISO (Associazione Italiana Studenti di Odontoiatria)
<p>Dear Colleagues and Friends,<br><br>We waited, we hoped and we prayed. We put forth our maximum effort in planning and organizing our international congress on the paradise Mediterranean Island of Sardegna, Italy, an extraordinary setting that’s second to none, to bring you the best that international dentistry has to offer.<br><br>However, with less than 4 months before the planned meeting date, the virus, its variants and the uncertainty of its future path have led us to conclude that they’re still too many questions left unanswered for us to invest further time, effort, energy and money necessary for the success of such an important event.<br><br>The health, well-being and welfare of our participants, sponsors and staff is of paramount importance to us thus we have decided, that in the best interest of all of us, to postpone the AIO International Congress 2021.<br><br>The new confirmed dates of the AIO International Congress and annexed exhibition will be June 9-11, 2022.<br><br>The congress will still be held in the same outstanding location with an even richer edition of “Focus on the Gender Shift in Dentistry”.<br><br>The cost of the event will remain unchanged until December 2021 giving participants time to plan their travel taking in, if one wishes, side trips to Rome, Florence or even Venice. We truly look forward to seeing you next year in Sardegna to provide you with our warmest welcome and an even bigger and better meeting than ever before.</p>

For the third consecutive year Sardegna has been chosen to host <b>AIO’s International Congress</b> and for the second consecutive year the charming seaside town of Chia has been chosen as home to the event.</i></p><p><i>The AIO International Congress will be held from <b>July 15th through the 17th 2017</b> at the <b>Chia Laguna</b> 40 kilometers from Sardegna’s capital city of Cagliari. With it’s state of the art conference center and annexed facilities the Chia Laguna is an excellent venue for the congress. Located just a few hundred meters from the sea, the resort is the perfect place to combine work and fun for the entire family.</i></p><p><i>Over 40 top international lecturers will be speak at the congress that will also host a trade show. Ongoing talks involving leaders from dental associations throughout the Mediterrenean area called “The Mediterranean Dialogue” will be held during the event. Special events are also planned aimed at the international traveler as well as their families.</i></p><p><i>Well connected by plane and ferry, Sardinia is also a perfect starting point for reaching many Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, Venice Milan and Naples.</i></p><p><i>Sardegna is an unparalleled terrestial paradise.
