In the light of the ongoing challenges of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany and the expected continuation at the beginning of the new year of the widespread restrictions on personal contact imposed by the Federal Government, the Federal States and local authorities, the board of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI), the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH (GFDI; commercial enterprise of the VDDI) and Koelnmesse have decided to postpone IDS – the International Dental Show.

With this step, the organisers are responding to the continuing coronavirus policy, which may be extended into 2021 in Germany. By rescheduling the 39th edition of IDS to September 2021, the organisers hope that the improved health situation and relaxations on travel, which can be expected by that point in time, will allow more international partners and customers to attend the event in Cologne .
