Biographie

Dr. Roberto Velasquez is a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Cartagena, Colombia and obtained the title in 1985.

In 1995, he did a Master’s of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

He is visiting professor at the Postgraduate Orthodontics at the University of Cartagena and associate professor at the Postgraduate Orthodontics at the Colombian Dental College.

In 2014, he started a PhD at Kanagawa Dental University in Yokosuka, Japan, on Cranio-mandibular Orthodontics and Occlusion Medicine and finished it in 2017 with the thesis: Morphological Characterization of Mandibular Lateral Displacement using 3DCBCT.

Since 2007, Dr. Velasquez is on the faculty of the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy – IDEA in Foster City, together with Prof. Sadao Sato and Dr. Heike Kraemer in the Three-Year Orthodontic Program: Orthodontics related to Function, Occlusion and the Cranio-Mandibular System.

Since 2008, he has lectured in Europe, Asia, North America and South America on Cranio-mandibular Orthodontics and Occlusion Medicine
