Dr Hakan BILHAN

Dr. Bilhan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at the Dental School of Okan University, Turkey. Dr. Bilhan who is at the same time Head of the Department, received his DDS (DMD) degree in 1993 from the Hacettepe University (Ankara, Turkey), followed by a post-graduate certificate study in Oral Surgery and Implantology at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz, Austria. He earned his doctorate in 1996 after a 2-year stay at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Zurich University in Switzerland, and his PhD degree in Prosthodontics in 2004 at the Istanbul University. He published over 73 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, is member of the Academy of Prosthodontics and Gnathology Society, Turkish Society of Oral Implantology and EPA (European Prosthodontics Association), Fellow and Speaker of the ITI (International Team for Implantology), Fellow of ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology) and Master of IPS – Implant Prosthodontics Section. Dr. Bilhan gave more than 62 presentations at national or international conferences, and his fields of interest are mainly removable implant prosthodontics, edentulism and implantology, gerodontology, individualized abutments.
